I am loving Aunt Sadie's Famous Candles. They are locally made in Vermont...perfect size and somehow the scent always matches the name. We go through about one a month. We first started off with fun smells of Summer and we just finished Autumn. I bought Pumpkin pie this past Friday...figured it was fitting withThanksgiving is coming up!
iPhone pics.
{Paul actually helps! A LOT!}
Our Save the Dates came in! We put them together this week and sent them out. We went a little nontraditional on the back of the card....hopefully people get it and don't think we are weird... Well actually we are an odd, goofy couple...so if they think we are weird that wouldn't be to far from the truth. I'll post a few of our engagement pictures on here sometime next week.
Also, I'm going to try something new on here. I'm going to try and post more often. BUT the posts are going to be short, random stuff that is going on. No more novels for posts. I'll use my iPhone camera when it's appropriate (like in this post) and my nice camera when I want to take prettier pictures. So stay tuned.
And I have also been hearing comments like...does she ever post when she has a bad day? No, generally not. I would feel bad complaining on here for everyone to read when I don't have anything really serious to complain about. My bad days consist of: excel crashing, something not reconciling at work, TRAFFIC, no parking spots, and spilling something on myself....nothing really to write home about (although I do call my mom often and complain about these things). Anywho, even tho I am not writing about my bad days...I do have them.. Paul can confirm...a few weeks ago I was sobbing uncontrollably for a few days in a row for something very SILLY..I even teared up/pouted last night...but I decided not to write about that..blame me? I'll tell paul to take a pic on his iPhone of me next time I have a meltdown and I'll post it with no caption. You can make your own assumption of what happened to me that day. ha!
Today we are flying to Athens, GA to see Auburn BEAT Georgia tomorrow. WDE.
Wedding Dress Shopping - Charleston, SC
{King St. in Charleston, SC}
It's been a while! I've been pretty busy this month...plenty to write about but just not enough time. Anywho - 2 weeks ago I went down to Charleston, SC to find THE dress (I'll go ahead and tell you I was successful!!). I've always wanted to make a weekend out of it - just the girls - brunch, champagne, shopping, and a few wedding dresses thrown into the mix.
{Brunch & a round of mimosas at High Cotton Restaurant to start of the day!}
I must add that Sandy (Paul's mom), Jenny and I woke up on 3:30am that morning and flew down to Charleston - by the time we arrived at the hotel to meet up with everyone - we had already been up and moving for 7 hours!!! We were all troopers and kept going the entire day - including dinner at Social Wine Bar that night!
{pretty tulle and lace}
{details from my Mom's wedding dress which is being transformed into my rehearsal dress}
{not only did we do a little wedding dress shopping - but we also hit up the stores on King St.}
{details on a skirt that reminded me of a dress I tried on}
{White - best wedding gown store in Charleston!}
{We shopped until we almost dropped on Sunday - def squeezed in a Starbucks run that day}
{Love the oak trees on the Southern coast}
{pretty sail boat on the battery wharf}
{rainbow row}
{oversized historic porch}
{tons of lion hardware}
{I made sure to have some biscuits while in the South}
{and some shimp'n grits which we hope to serve at the wedding!}
{My cousin, Ashley, and Jenny - so glad they were there with me!}
It was suchhhh a perfect weekend - I couldn't have worked out any better.
Last weekend Paul and I went back down South to Alabama for a wedding. It was so fun to see all of my college girlfriends again... and I will be seeing them next weekend at the AU/UGA game in Athens!!
War Eagle!
We are doing a low key/stay local (finally) weekend. Date night tonight - then dinner with Paul's fam on Saturday and Church on Sunday...(and I managed to fit in a massage appt while Paul is playing golf on Sat AM - we are both pumped).
Happyyyyyy Fridayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy - finally.
Owl Cupcakes!
Paul and I went out to his parents' house this past Sunday and I made cupcakes that I saw on Pinterest. I mean....Pinterest where all good, cute, creative ideas live these days. If you aren't on Pinterest yet...get on it NOW...you will be blown away during the holidays with all of your friends' amazing ideas...which they actually got on Pinterest...while you were surfing some other lame site. Anywhooooo....these were super fun and super easy to make...also helps that I am loving owls these days.
whoooloooalaooaooo (that was my best owl impersonation...)
{melted chocolate for homemade chocolate icinggg}
{can't wait to have one of these babies...in just a few months!! yahoo!!!!}

Boston, Fall, Wknds...etc, etc
We've had a few really busy weeks. I been working more than normal the past few weeks but hopefully life will start to turn back to regular just in time to enjoyyyyy Fall.
I would say at this point in time (Saturday AM) I have met my limit..and need down time (which I am def getting this wknd). I kinda feel bad about complaining...considering I am healthy, I have no children to worry about yet...and nothing too serious to complain about. But "to each his own" right? Stress is all relative... but I know I just need to decide to deallll.
AND be thankful...because i really do have sooo much to be thankful for.
Anywho this post is going to be randommmm.
1. We had our engagement pictures taken last Sunday! We took them in the South End in Boston on a beautiful street called Bradford St. and in the Public Garden (where Paul proposed). Our friend, Dave, was our photographer and he did suchhhh an amazing job. He also happens to by Jenny's brother! You can see more of his work @ www.stegerprints.com. I highly recommend him if you live in the Boston area!Sommmeeee of you probably saw them late last Tuesday night if you were on Facebook. Paul said I could put them up... I asked him because I am a natural oversharer (hello blog) and he usually is my monitor on how much I share..especially on facebook! So he said yes...but then after I put them up he immediately changed his mind and wants me to wait til after we send out the save the dates....soooo you will see them back up on Facebook sometime early next month! Above is one of our favorite pictures! I figured I could share just onnnnneeeeeeee.........
2. Boston is really beautiful right now. We had a warm spell last week..but it has turned cooler again. Paul and I woke up before 7am this morning and walked around the North End to get coffee and breakfast at a little diner right near the water. We walked around the city before the city had really woken up...it's one of my favorite things to do. There is the store owner cleaning the sidewalk, the occasional jogger, and pet owners taking their pets out for a morning walk...but other than that...it's pretty quiet.
3. We have a lot coming up in the next few weeks! I am going down to Charleston, SC next weekend. Paul's mom, Sandy, and Jenny are coming with me to meet up with my Mom, both grandmothers and my cousin (MOH) and Aunt to go bridal gown shopping! I've always wanted to make finding the dress a special occasion with the important women in my life. I'm excited for a nice, relaxing, 'girls' weekend if you will. THEN the very next weekend, Paul and I are traveling back down to the South for Dorsey's (one of my good friends from college) wedding...so excited to see all of my college girlfriends! THENNNN two weeks later we are going BACK down again to Athens, GA for the AU/UGA game!! UGA's campus is insane and I am so excited to show Rob, Jenny, Rich and Erin (all coming with us) a good southernnn
game day.
Since we are doing all of this traveling down south we decided to stay in Boston for Thanksgiving again this year...I'm really excited about this decision...a few days off...no traveling and some good food and good times with my new Northern family! :) Besides...what better place to spend thanksgiving then in
New Englanddddd.
I'm glad I made this list...and if you read all the way down here...wowow....thanks for reading! ha.
Hope you all have a good weekend. Paul is playing golf right now and then we are meeting up to do a little registering...fun! Tomorrow morning Marcia and I are going on a hike (excited about this!) and tomorrow afternoon Paul and I are heading out to his parents to watch the Pats and eat some gooood food....
OK I think I met my quota of oversharing for the day....BYE!
Bunch-o-Bridesmaids, Bunch-o-Colors!
I got a few wedding things on my mind....including the bridal party! :) I have known since I was in high school that I wanted to choose different shades of one color with different styles for bridesmaid dresses. Just recently I decided I wanted to actually choose colors from a color palette that I found here.
Below are a few pictures of the "look" that I am hoping we get on the big day.
Lite, Romantic, comfortable, and personal style all coming together.
I love all of my bridesmaids because they all mean so much to me in different ways for different reasons...so why would I put them all in the same dress?
It's officially FALL!
It's October 3rd which means two things:
1. it is Paul's birthday! Happy 33rd Birthday :)
2. Fall weather is officially back and here to stay for a while...
...And I am completely welcoming the change of weather. Everyone said one of the best parts of Boston is the 4 very distinctive seasons and I am starting to agree. Summer was great, we spent the majority of it at the Cape so I feel like we really took advantage of the warm weather. Now that it is Fall, I am wanting to stay in the city on the weekends, get coffee to sip on during walks, go to brunch on Sunday mornings with friends, and head out to Paul's parents on Sunday afternoons to watch the Patriots on TV. I am also loving that scarves and sweaters are back in my outfits.
Below are some pictures from Pinterest that have me feeling very excited about this season!
{I am on the hunt for an extra large, extra comfy scarf}
{currently loving anything and everything mustard/dark/gold yellow}
{boots and scarves..one of the best combos}
{I love this sweater that turns into a scarf as well - great idea!}
{what a cute, simple way to decorate a cupcake for Fall}
{I love candy corn themed anything}
{currently obsessed with owls...I WILL be making this over the next few weeks!}
{I love the idea of using pumpkins throughout the house, not just on the front porch}
{pretty pumpkin stairway stoop}
{I think I might paint a pumpkin this year instead of carving}
{also a big fan of carving something pretty rather than scary}
{speaking of pumpkins..I have only had ONE pumpkin spice latte so far...this needs to change}
{COFFEE is one of my fav things in life...and one of the best parts of Fall is that everyone else craves it too!}
Apartment Favorites...Random!
{cool, fun magnets....a huge flower and 2 birds perched up on our fridge}
Once Paul and I get married (in the not too far off future) I will finally get to move in with him. :) I have always wanted to wait until I am married to live together and he agreed to make that work..and actually wound up wanting the same thing as well.
We will live in his townhouse for at least a few more years...probably until the second baby (God willing) eeek! He lives on the south side of the city and I live in the North End, so we have done the whole juggling act to see each other for just under 2 years. Luckily when I moved to Boston, the distance changed from traveling over 1000 miles to see each other to just around 6 short miles. The realization that I will be moving in with a boy, will be in a new marriage, and will start decorating a home is all starting to hit me at once. Which is now making me want to spend time in my small, young, girly apartment in the North End more than ever, at least while I still have the option.
I love love love our apartment (even tho the roof leaks, there is no central air conditioning, and we live up four steep flights of stairs). It is quirky, girly, and comfy all at the same time. I also love getting home, eating whatever I want because I am single and only look out for myself(ie cereal, hummus, or a PB&J), and plopping down on the couch to watch hours of Bravo and surfing on Pinterest with my roommate Marcia....you just can't do that stuff with a guy!
Anywhoo...I took a few pictures of the things in my apartment I am loving most right now and will probably be some of what I miss most!
{our first engagement gifts - anthropologie coffee mugs - will soon stand for Lashway instead of Lauren}
{wedding magazines on the coffee table that Marcia and I thumb through together}
We're Engaged!...the proposal wknd
As most of you know...Paul proposed on 9/1! :)
I won't go into the sappy details of how excited we are...you assumed that...we're engaged.
What I will tell you is how he pulled off a really great surprise proposal!
{he did the ring shopping all on his own...no help from me...and I couldn't be happier with what he chose}
We were supposed to go on a double date with his friend Ryan Moore on Thursday night and then to the Cape with Laura, Andrew, and Ryan & Maura Lia. None of that happened. I got stuck in traffic that night and was complaining to him..basically went on a rant the entire drive home..so we had to push back the reservation - nice - complaining the night of my engagement. Then Ryan wound up "backing out" of the date as planned by Paul...and we were left with a reservation for just the two of us at Sonsie on Newbury St. - which is the location of our very first date in Boston almost 2 years ago.
We finished a completely normal dinner and walked down Newbury into the Boston Public Garden where he suggested we sit on an empty bench. As we looked over the pond in front of us, I began yapping about how I would never want to be a fish?!?! (don't know where I came up with that one)..all the while he had the ring in his back pocket and was about to propose! I eventually shut up and realzied there was a guy playing a guitar on the bridge..what nice background music I thought...and almost as if on cue... he pulled out a small, round, gold container... a pyx (pictured below - holds communion) that was given to him in college by a mentor. As soon as I saw the little "box" in front of me I had a hard time focusing on anything else...including what he was saying. I managed to hear that this was something he kept very special items in, including a gold necklace from his mom from Italy, and a silver dollar from his great grandmother... However, he told me that he actually had something much more special in it at the moment. He opened up the pyx and sitting inside was a beautiful ring! He slid down off the bench, got on one knee, and proposed...and I said Yes! :)
{I asked someone walking by to take our picture...}
{our very first pic after getting engaged - sent this to our close friends and family - although all of them already knew!}
Above is a picture of the park we were engaged in (as well as the pyx)... He wrote a note in it and signed it "your fiance" and had it waiting for us in our hotel room that he reserved for the night, along with flowers, champagne and flight tickets home to Atlanta for the Weekend!! He is planner if you can't tell.
{our amazing room at the Woodward at the Ames Hotel - our friend Uzay really hooked Paul up!}
{very dramatic windows}
{we celebrated back at the room with champagne and phone calls to our parents!}
As I mentioned above, he surprised me again by flying us home to ATL for the weekend. We were picked up by my brothers and cousins and drove to Auburn Friday night for the opening home game on Saturday! We spent the rest of the 3 day weekend in GA, which included church, wakeboarding, and a small BBQ engagement party at my house with my extended family and friends. They have all known for a few weeks!
{war eagle}
{my dog Shadow couldn't have been happier on this jeep ride with Paul and Evan}
{it was a little overcast but we managed to get out on the lake for a couple hours}
{he's getting pretty good!}
{on Monday we overindulged on Chick-fil-A breakfast!! - he had THREE chicken,egg,&cheese biscuits!}
Perfect proposal, perfect weekend, with the perfect man for me! We couldn't be happier and we are so thankful that our family and friends are just as happy - the support means so much to us!
Camera Fun - Flower Shots
I've mentioned before that my mom's passion is flowers. She always has new arrangements in the house, her garden seems to be constantly blooming, and she is now venturing into the world of wedding/shower flower arrangements (so proud of her! she won't toot her own horn so I'll do it for her)! Anywhooo...while I was home I went out into the yard one morning and played around with my camera...there is still so much I don't know how to do with it...I need to take a class...
Anyway...it was fun...hope you like.
{shadow looks so perfectly posed in this}
{black eyed susans}
{reminded me of beauty and the beast}
{cute and little and a bunch of 'em}
{playing around with the apertures - can you tell the difference above?}
{I found youuuuu}
{this is a very special flower}
{would be a great color palette for a little girl's bedroom}
{more limelights...or hydrangeas?...I can't tell the difference sometimes}
{he is no doubt wondering whyyy I am fumbling around with my camera when I could be throwing to him}
{does anyone know what this is? - it was at the winery - I think it's a peach tree?}
{light and delicate and pretty}
I'm heading to a "girls only" Fantasy Football Draft tonight with Jenny...nooo idea how it works...but they said we are getting mani/pedis before and there will be wine and cheese...so I said I'm IN!
Happy Hump Day!
Random GA Home Pics
{love this combination of sunflowers and limelights - such a big statement}
I went home 2 weekends ago - seems like it was just yesterday. While I was home I took a few shots on Saturday and Sunday morning. Nothing crazy - just a few things that make me love my home in Georgia. My mom always has the house very cozy with fresh flowers...half of them from her yard!

Cape: Sunset Dune Tour and Winery
This is the second and last post of my Mom's trip to the Cape. I was able to get a few good shots of the highlights of the trip. We went on a Sunset Dune Tour on the tip of the Cape in Provincetown on the first night. We were taken through the Dunes in big Suburbans (only the dune tour drivers, the national coast guard, and the shack dwellers are allowed in the Dunes). We were able to get out at certain spots and take pictures and then we ended up on one of the only beaches on the Cape that actually shows the sun set over the ocean due to the angle. I definitely recommend it!
{pictures of shacks that were built for shipwreck survivors back in the day}
{there are only 19 shacks left and they have been passed down through generations}
{our little picnic}
{I'm lucky enough to snap the picture...God is the real artist here}
{we brought wine from the Truro Winery which is right next to the cottage}
{we stopped by before heading to p-town for the dune tour}
{grapes....lotssss of grapess}
{a very cool way to grow an apple tree - it has been spread out across the side of the building}
In other news...we survived hurricane Irene! It actually wasn't that bad for us - there was a lot of wind and rain and a few limbs on the ground. We were lucky enough to keep our power. We did get drenched at the Kenny Chesney concert... this is the only picture I took on my phone of us... from that point on I was soaking wet! ...but it was so much fun, Zac Brown Band and Kenny put on great concert! (might have been a few tears at the beginning of the concert from all the sudden being a little homesick and missing my country roots, but by the end of the night Paul and I were dancing in the stands).
A pic from Paul's phone is below...we danced here right by the stage in the pouring rain. It's hard to tell but we are completely soaked! The light part a the top of paul's shorts is actually dry... that's the only way to tell how wet we were.
Nantucket
{my first time on a Ferry}
My mom came to visit me earlier this week. We spent our time on the Cape and took a day trip to Nantucket. Neither of us had been before and we absolutely loved it! We took a Ferry from the Cape, took a bus tour, had a great lunch, and overall really had a great time. I of course snapped shots throughout the day and she snapped pics of flowers on her iPhone...I'll elaborate on her love for flowers in another post.
{USA}

A lot more posts are coming your way! We went on a Sunset Dune Tour, Visited the Winery, and I still have more pics from my weekend at home... So tune in next week!
Paul and I are going to CountryFest with a bunch of friends this weekend...going to see Kenny Chesney and Zac Brown Band! Hopefully we all survive Hurricane Irene as well... Have a great Weekend!
A Family Wedding
{the 1000 acre hunting camp that the wedding was on}
Paul and I flew home to the South for my cousin Aaron's wedding. It was a sweet, southern, outdoor wedding and the best part was being able to spend time with all of my family. I took a few shots throughout the night, although I definitely didn't get as many pictures as I would have liked. Our weekend was packed ... staying up til 2am watching funny youtube videos with the fam, driving to AL for a wedding, going to Browns Bridge Community Church, visiting my good friend Meredith, and having a low country boil dinner at my grandparent's...phew! I never feel like I have enough time to see all the people I want to see and do all the things that make me love home. BUT I'm still thankful for the quick weekend!
{at the ceremony - weather was great! - just enough overcast to cool it off}
{my sweet, beautiful cousins and Carson!}
***side note.... I don't know how many of you read my last post "Random Cape Pics" but I had a pretty obvious mistake...typing a 'Pod of Wales' instead of a 'Pod of Whales'...basically I was saying I saw a big pod of brits!! As usual I would have never noticed the error unless someone pointed it out (thank you Avery!) I do read through my posts...(still missing a lot!)...Paul will usually skim though the day's post to tell me the obvious errors (and complain about the pics I put up of him) and then there are the few readers who will kindly tell me that I misspelled a word or used incorrect grammar. I am the WORST at spelling, grammar, and geography ... and somehow I passed the 5th grade tho? anywho....Avery (far left above) is a great speller and grammar user...she wants to be an editor when she grows up! So over the weekend I officially made her Editor in Chief of BostonBelle :) ***
{my cousin Aaron, the groom}

Random Cape Pics
I haven't been posting recently and there is actually a reason! Paul and I have been doing the SAME thing for the past 5 weekends in a row...spending our weekend on the cape. Now I'm not complaining by any means...but we literally do the same thing every weekend while we are there. We drive down Friday night, get dinner either in p-town or at the cottage, get to bed early, wake up early on Saturday morning and head to the beach!
On Saturday and Sunday we spend the mornings out on the back porch drinking coffee and having a big breakfast, then we pack up the chairs, umbrella, towels, running shoes, and cooler and head over our favorite beach, Longnook. When we get back to the cottage in the late-afternoon, we have some wine, play a game of scrabble and then get dressed as casual as possible and head to p-town to walk around and get some frozen yogurt. This is really our weekend at the cape every time..I mean we deviate sometimes...for instance going to the french bakery instead of making breakfast, or making dinner instead of going to p-town. But the weekend always consists of relaxing, beach, running, wave surfing, scrabble, and for me, coffee!
So this is why i haven't been blogging...not too much to blog about! Last weekend I did manage to take a few random shots throughout the weekend...I have also blogged a few times about the cape..so you should have a pretty good idea of what it's like....don't ya wanna come up?!? ;)
{an easy hair-do for the warm sunny weather}
{simply french braid down the back and curl the end into a bun and pin to secure}
{Paul's Auburn hat}
{my new apple&bee beach bag that I was given from the Boston girls for my b-day}
{a pod of wales!! about 400-500 ft off the beach...we saw them both days!}
{huge, fresh, delish, brownies from the bakery...Paul, his mom Sandy and I made a trip on Sunday}
{Paul and Izzie}
{very first cherry tomato in the front-yard garden...excited for more...if all the rabbits don't get them first!}
This weekend we are actually NOT going to the cape, we are heading to Alabama for my cousin Aaron's wedding. My mom is flying back with us and she and I are heading to Truro for a few days. I'm so excited for her to see why I love it some much, and I know she is going to love it as much as I do.
Evan Vistited!
Evan visited 2 weekends ago and we had a jam-packed weekend! He and his girlfriend Kayse arrived on Friday morning and stayed until Monday night. They did a lot of exploring the city on their own but Paul and I met up with them Friday night after work and hosted them until Monday morning.
We went to the Red Sox game Friday night and then drove to the Cape late that night. Saturday we got about 2-3 hours of sun (usually the weather is great at the cape - but what are ya gonna do), the best part about this weekend on the cape was that the waves were pretty big, so Paul and Evan spent most of their time in the freezing cold water.
- side note -
Paul's family was at that game as well (his parents, Rob, and his cousins Beth and Harrison (in the pic)) Rob actually caught a FOUL BALL! he immediately gave the ball to his 7yr old cousin Harrison...who then started saying "I caught a ball, I caught a ball" (Harrison not Rob - well actually Rob won't stop talking about it either!) When Paul and I saw them after the game...Harrison showed Paul the ball saying "I caught a ball!" ...Paul immediately told him "no you didn't, Rob did"....guess Paul is going to be a "you are either a winner or a loser" kind of dad :) haha.
We also stopped by a little fresh market stand right by the cottage on Saturday afternoon to pick up some food for the rest of the weekend.
{these cookies actually have extra salt in them for extra sweet/salty - so good!}
{we stopped by the Truro Vineyard on the way home}
{we set up a spread Saturday afternoon and played some scrabble - our fav!}
{Evan and I love tomatoes!}
{must.have.cheese}
{animal crackers - will FOREVER be good}
{I love wine in a little low pretty glass}
{Evan and Paul keep tally with everything...pingpong.scrabble.pool.dipscontest...}
{pizza on the street - people watching}
{this p-town character wanting nothing to do with Kayse ;) }
Sooo...Sunday morning Paul and I made breakfast. We are older...soo I guess it was normal that we woke up around 8am ready to start the day, thinking Kayse and Evan would be up sooner than later (wrong). Paul is a busy body (which might be an understatement) so after about 15 minutes of being awake he wanted to get started making breakfast...no wasting time! He decided he could go ahead and cook the bacon...and keep it warm in the oven...made sense and I knew it would keep him busy. Then he decided he would make the blueberry pancakes...and keep them warm in the oven....fine... then he proceeded to clean the dishes...and had me set the table...I knew I was running out of time to keep him preoccupied..or distracted. By 10am he decided he would go ahead and crack the 12 eggs into the bowl for whisking....huh? he was getting desperate. By 10:30 he had whisked these eggs about 23 different times...they were going to be fluffy for sure. At 10:45 he looked at me and asked if we could wake Kayse and Evan up (who were still snoozin' upstairs) I told him to wait but quickly noticed he was no longer being carefully quiet. By 11am Evan finally decided he would get up...by 11:08, Evan and Kayse were sitting at the table with a plate of food in front of them to eat...whether they were hungry yet or not!
Needless to say...it was a funny morning to witness.
{blueberries for the pancakes...Paul in the background being restless}
{it turned out delish!}
{rather than fresh coffee or OJ - Evan opted for NOS first thing in the morning - barf!}
{Sunday was overcast but we went to the beach so the guys could catch some waves!}
{they did this for about an hour - let me remind you it was freezing cold water}
{our make-shift tent}
{probably thinking the guys are out of their minds!}
Overall it was a great weekend and I can't wait to have them back!
Babba
No posts this week...I will be in Alabama celebrating my Grandfather's life. I'm lucky to have had 4 grandparents for this long, and I am so thankful to know he is in Heaven hanging with my Dad, catching him up on all that we have been up to over the past two years.
{my dad and me with his parents, Babba and Tatta}
Picnic in the Park
Last night we had a picnic in the park! The "big dig" which happened a little while back before I got here, left a beautiful park that connects the North End to the city. No longer is there a highway with loud, obstructing view...we now have flowers, water fountians, and plenty of space to enjoy the outdoors.

PB Boulangerie Bakery & Bistro
Last Sunday, Sandy and I went to THE BEST BAKERY on Cape Cod. It is in the town of Wellfleet which is right next to Truro, so we were able to head over there just as they opened at 7AM and there was already a line. On most days, the line goes all the way to the street but foodies know that it is well worth the wait. I met one of the chefs (pictured below) who is originally from France and his authenticity is definitely represented in his amazing pastries, sweets, and breads.
{can't have a pastry without freshly brewed coffee}
{I LOVEEEEE the fish light fixture!!}
{drink carts seem to be all.the.rave in all the design blogs I follow - not surprised this bakery is on point!}
{I want one of these for my breakfast settings at home - he can be my new PET - ha!}
{we think the hammocks in the backyard are for the chefs and staff!}
{by the end, we had coffee, croissants(3 kinds), mandelines, cookies, and fresh bread all to take home}
{freshly baked homemade croissants}
{raspberry-lemon croissants}
{almond croissant}
Paul and I will be back in Truro next weekend and we plan to do a wine tasting at the Truro Vineyards which is right next to the cottage - literally walk there. Jenny and Rob will be there as well, so it should be a fun weekend as usual... I plan to take plenty of pictures and post about the vineyards so you will not miss out!
Birthday Funnnn
I had a great birthday weekend! Friday morning we went to my fav spot in the North End - Cafe Nuovo - for birthday breakfast...Friday night we went to Keith Urban (met up with Paul's cousin Timmy and his girlfriend Marie too) . Saturday I had to work... but then Saturday night we drove to the Cape and walked around Ptown.. Sunday we spent the day on the beach and then went to Paul's gparents house for a little bday dinner! My mom, Evan, and Carson are currently in Mexico building a house with Homes for Hope...so while I wasn't with my family on my bday...I know that they are all safe and happy and that is all I wish for! And I will see them in August when they come up!
Below are pics from the weekend... :)
