Snow is in the Air?!

Welll.......it's March 24th and it's snowed last night!  oh yes... I am in a big warm sweater today and I am still using my handy sorel snow boots!

I know from conversations that all of you in down South are enjoying 60, 70, even 80 degree weather right now.  I'm sure you have put up your winter gear until next year (from when you got it out for the one week it was cold in Atlanta). Sorry if I sound bitter - I'm really not!  There are actually perks to the chilly weather - my pale legs aren't ready to be seen by the public yet - so I will stay in my pants and tights for now thank you very much!  :)

Anywho - with all of this cold weather - I crave hot coffee and sweets! I'm just not ready for the iced coffee and icecream/gelato yet...although I do have friends up here that drink iced coffee year round.  I'm just not one for having ice on my eyelashes from outside and then decide to drink an ice cold beverage once I finally get inside....

Lucky for me - I have more coffee shops than I know what to do with! My absolute FAVORITE so far is the Thinking Cup.  It is in the city, located right between our favorite movie theater and the park.

I will meet you there any night of the week - and I must say I am a very good coffee partner - I usually over-indulge with sweets and coffee - so you will naturally feel better about yourself because I will have more than you while we are there.  AND I can be a quiet study/reading buddy or have conversations with you that the people next to us can't believe we are having... but they of course can't help but listen!

Paul and I went a few weeks ago - and I have a feeling we will be going this weekend if this weather doesn't ease up! brrr...

The coffee mug might be my new favorite accessory.  Paul is a very good coffee shop buddy as well....he calmly sits and reads his iPhone - while I I have my own tea coffee cup party if you will... ha!

The barista made me a heart (as shown above) and Paul a plant :)  What is your favorite coffee spot?

This weekend Paul and I are having a "weekend in the city." We are staying at the Liberty Hotel which used to be an old jail! - he won a free night at a silent auction a while back.  I've requested that we act like tourists and take tons of pictures...I'm pumped.
