While in upstate NY we visited a quirky like cafe - the Black Cat Cafe.
The cafe is a house that was redone...notice the dining room is in what might have been the front porch or sunroom? Quite chilly early on an October morning - good thing they had fresh coffee brewed! We were also pretty early - first customers that morning - but by the time we left most of these tables were filled.
I loved the mismatch feel of the decor - it made it feel homey I guess?

oatmeal was perfect on the cold Sunday morning.
Everything came with plenty of butter - cooked with and piled on high.
If you are ever in Sharon Springs, NY - I def recommend this cool, quirky bfast spot!
