Moving Day!

It's official! I have started my blog :) I figured I would start with the beginning - Moving Day!  Paul and I managed to pack up my entire apt in about 7 hours.  It was 50% packing and 50% trashing - my apartment in Boston is about half the size.  Side note: by trashing I also mean donating to the local RicRac in Dawsonville.  Mom and Carson came over on Monday (Labor Day) to help pack.

We love Carson so much! - we wanted to take him with us.  But not in the car - we thought he would do best in a box on the truck.

We left 6am...Shadow and Mom were the only ones to get up to tell us goodbye!

We were somewhere along the East Coast...Paul was on a conference call..luckily he was able to work remotely that week so he could help me move (and drive 17 of the 20 hours)

We drove to D.C. on Wednesday and stayed with Paul's Uncles Brian and Stephen.  We had a great dinner and gelato afterwards - it was so nice to break up the trip.

We left Thursday around 7am and Paul drove straight to Boston.  Overall the trip was really enjoyable! We decided if we ever had to - we could do the drive in one day.  We only got into one fight discussion :) it was over journal entries...Paul started to asked a lot of accounting questions and I started to cry - very typical - nothing to worry about.  We laugh about it now!

When we arrived in Boston, we went directly to pick up my keys and check out my apartment, it was my first time seeing it (a blog will follow on that!).  We checked out my street together and still couldn't believe I was officially there!

My unit is at the very top. We have exclusive access to the rooftop which I hope to use while the weather is nice.

Hope you enjoyed the first post! Many more will follow quickly.  I have been living here a month so there is much to write about!
