Weekend IN the city....

Well....Paul was locked up this weekend.

kiddingggg....but we did stay in a jail!  An old, renovated jail that is now a luxury hotel!  Paul won a nights stay at the Libery Hotel in a silent auction a while back.  We decided to make a weekend out of it and stayed in the city all day Saturday and Sunday.  I have to work the next three weekends - so it was a nice relaxing weekend before work gets crazy for the both of us.

After complimentary yoga class on Saturday morning, we walked to Charles St. to get breakfast.  We found a cute cafe on the corner and sat outside.  It was a little chilly but nothing that a coat and coffee can't fix.

{my spill of the day - I get something on my shirt everyday - just a matter of when}

Paul must be reading bostonbelle because he ordered me a small flower arrangement for our room!  :) tulips and gerber daisies....my fav! loved them

We actually passed the store he ordered them from - Twig on Charles St. The flowers were beautiful - on the street, in the store, and in my arrangement!  highly recommend them!

{we went to 75 Chestnut for dinner on Saturday night - quaint and delicious}

On Sunday we went to Mistral for brunch - absolutely loved it - I took tons of pictures and will post them tomorrow!

The Hotel did a great job of keeping the "jail" feel throughout - with dramatic chain chandeliers, original brick walls and even a few old jail cells throughout.  I had a nightmare on Saturday night (about Zombie's?? random and a little embarrassing) wonder if it is because of the old ward we were staying in.....eeek!

Solitary confinement anyone?

The weekend in the city and in the hotel definitely reminded me of our year of long distance travel.  We over indulged and did whatever made us happy this past weekend - everyone needs a weekend like that every now and then!
