Savin Scoop

As I am sitting here writing this post, I am enjoying Savin Scoop sugarfree chocolate ice cream (with M&M's on top - to balance out the lack of sugar of course).  What is Savin Scoop you ask?  Well guess what - I'd be happy to tell you so please just send me a note to my email address at.......ahhhhhh just kidding!  Im gonna blog about it DUH! Savin Scoop it is the new, adorable local ice cream/coffee bar on Paul's street!!
Paul and I stopped by this sweet little shop on Saturday to check out the much anticipated opening (ok, it opened on Friday - but enough with the details).  Paul lives right next to an intersection that currently has an organic grocery store (Savin Hill Supply), a breakfast place (McKenna's Cafe also known as Mark Wahlberg's favorite Boston b-fast spot), and now the latest addition Savin Scoop which features ice cream, frozen yogurt, smoothies, coffee, and cappuccinos.
I ordered the Savin Smoothie which is a blend of strawberries, banana, frozen yogurt, and just a touch of honey - oh!- and whip cream! While we were there Paul shamelessly mentioned his own smoothie concoction to the owner with the hopes of getting it on the menu - ppppredictable (yawn).  He makes his all-natural shake every morning (annoyingah as the blender shakes the house like the T!). So I may just help petition to get his shake on the Savin Scoop menu board.  And while his shake recipe is pretty good, my sweet tooth prefers delicious nonfat frozen yogurt in Savin's smoothies over peanut butter and regular yogurt (no Savin Scoop is not paying me to write this...although they could).
You will most likely see Savin Scoop's owner Ken greeting customers as they walk in or behind the counter  orchestrating that moment's order.   He was actually there this evening, and his hospitality makes me even that much MORE excited for his next project: Savin Bar and Kitchen which plans to open in the Spring.  YAY...another posting opportunity!

But for now, I look forward to grabbing a coffee on the cold/painful winter mornings that lie ahead.

To all my Boston readers: let me know if you stop in - I will definitely want to meet you there!  Whoops...I just noticed that my frozen yogurt is gone (...and i want another....)..............PAUL!!  haha
