So About the BostonBelle Blog...

Yesterday, was the first time I didn't blog in 3 months!!

One: there was no real reason for not writing yesterday, I just did not get to it.
Two: there was no real reason for starting to write everyday, 3 months ago.

I got more "serious" with the blogging after I purchased a new lens for my camera. With the new equipment, I was inspired to take better pictures which lead to being inspired to blog more frequently. I've always read that to be a serious blogger you must write on a regular basis and give readers a schedule to expect.  I decided instead of starting out with a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule I would go "all in" and try for 5 days a week.  I had no idea what I was going to blog about or if I even had enough ideas for more than 2 weeks but I decided I was inspired, excited, and committed. I sat down with my notebook and pen and begin writing down ideas for posts.

It has been really fun for me these past few months to have a schedule, deadlines, goals and interaction with all of you! I've enjoyed challenging myself creatively to come up with new DIYs and seeing things through the camera lens.  Having a blog is SUPER motivating.

I started the blog in October 2010 as a way to keep up with family and friends after I moved to the big city of Boston. I used my iphone in the beginning to document things like moving day, a new restaurant I tried, and things that were going on with us.  Paul gave me a nicer camera that first Christmas I was with him and I began post more about DIYs and Food!

If I could model this blog after anything it would be the RealSimple magazine (my absolute favorite!!).  I love to share fun ideas, outfit finds, budgeted projects, healthy recipes and even a little bit about myself. People have kindly suggested that I should try to become a photographer or start helping with home design.  But I really just love blogging.  I really love the process of thinking of an idea, executing all the necessary steps from prep, to props, to photos and then the satisfaction of it being executed - sometimes in just one day!

Anyways, I'll be back to regular posting tomorrow and hopefully I will keep coming up with fun, inspriring things to write about! Stay tuned!
